Bath Salts – Additional Benefits of Using Bath Salts
It is surprisingly easy to ready your own mix at home using a bath salt recipe found on the internet. Simply make your own customized bath salts for your individual needs (softening dry skin or soothing sore muscles), and then send them with your preferred essential oils. As an added finishing touch, add food coloring to boost your salt’s color, or use an edible gold dye for a gold plated look. For a more neutral option, try using white table salt in place of the essential oils; it will still have the same benefits and can be used by anyone.
If you prefer, there are a number of different essential oils that work well with bathtub water. Combine essential oil A, B and C in a small bowl, and add one tablespoon of warm water to the mixture to create your preferred relaxation blend. You can also choose a relaxing scented oil such as lavender and combine B with Epsom salt to create a very aromatic bath. If you would rather not use oil for this bath, you can simply use dead sea salt for a soothing alternative.
Adding a few drops of your chosen essential oil to your bath salt will provide additional benefits to your bath experience. Rosemary essential oil is great for cleaning your pores and relaxing your senses, so you will enjoy the additional benefits of Rosemary’s scent. Peppermint essential oil is great for providing additional scent in your shower or simply as a refreshing bath additive. Lemon essential oil is great for removing dirt, cleanses pores and provides additional benefits of its own. Add a few drops of these essential oils to your bath mixture, and you will enjoy the benefits of their relaxing scent and relaxing benefits.
